After your tattoo session, the area will be covered with a bandage to protect the area. Gently remove bandage after approximately 30-60 minutes, if the bandage sticks you may want to wet it to help aid in removal.
Wash your hands before applying aftercare and apply sparingly - too much will suffocate the skin and lead to additional loss of color.
Rub in a very light coat of ointment into your tattoo, repeat this
3-4 times a day for the first week, then once a day for the rest
of the month.
We recommend using A & D Ointmentor Don’s Tats Aftercare ointment.
DO NOT use ointments such as Bacitracin or Neosporin or lotions as these can cause some loss of color and affect healing.
It will peel the first week and may itch, but don’t scratch or pick!
Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight and out of chlorinated water (swimming pools, hot tubs).
Wear loose fitting clothing around the healing area.
Sun exposure will fade out a tattoo so please keep your ink covered
or protected.
